Today finally Shane has made it into the studio to bless us with his 2 cents!
This last few weeks for us has been interesting and challenging when it comes to finding ourselves a new store front in the town we call home.
 
Why You Ask?
 
Well, its all about our belief our perspective and our brand foundation. We have been (all be it very blessed) asked into a few shops that are already established, local and have a following, which is just an amazing opportunity for us here at RAVEN 425. Honestly that is a super blessed place to be in these unique times for sure....however!
 
For us its about our fundamentals the brand cannot be and will not be compromised, so what does that actually mean for us, and or what the phuck are we talking about rite? Well, we stand behind very strongly by the way certain views and certain ways to do business, so when we come into someone else place we need to first off respect their house. We need to make them more than we make ourselves and we need to provide them more value than they do us, which will take us a phuck ton of work to deliver!
 
So for us it is NOT possible to do this if our hands have been tied by the rules and regulations they follow.
 
One quick example of that would be lets say; the store owner saying we do not play music in this location as it's a zen zone, which is their way. Again how would we do in that type of environment when we usually bring a very island happy upbeat style of music pop-in off in the speakers, we are both pretty high energy and extremely talkative to all clients who enter the area. Well, it might not go so well in our humble opinion and why would that be....
 
BECAUSE WE COULD NOT BE OURSELVES!!!
 
Time is the most valuable asset we have do not waist it ever!

As We grew up in School we always had the Remembrance day events, the moment of Silence and we always had Vets themselves come to the school to be part of this day. As a kid it was what it was and we showed our respects.
As we all grow up and hit University or go to jobs we try to have the moment of silence at 11:11 and still show our respects.
 
As a brand that lives and breaths Cross-fit we all in this community know that we show up and represent for the Fire Department, Police, the Military and our Vets. We always rock what we call HERO WODS. It's a big part of the lifestyle and the mentality of this community.
He have however noticed the last few years that a lot of places now close on this day, the day we are needed most to show up and represent and pay or dues and respect.
 
For us here at RAVEN we felt this urge to stand up even harder for the soldiers and the Vets to show our respect, and this year it got very emotional for us during our HERO WOD.
It was an honour for us to be able to show up and for that we are forever thankful

In this episode we go over some of the major changes I have personally experienced since adding magnesium into my daily go to vitamins for health. I have about 5 major go to's over the last 2 years and adding this super nutrient has been major!
So for me I noticed (as we upped our workouts to the next level, and took our fight training to the next level) that muscle soreness was nothing like it use to be.
For example when I would travel to tropical destinations and spend countless hours in the ocean, I never was soar like the rest of the time when I trained, and it was not until I connected the salt from the ocean being Magnesium that it all made sense.

Guys it has been a hot hot minute, we got caught up in a few new endeavours which took us away from the United By Stoke Podcast. However we are back, we are all caught up and Shane and Myself are working overtime to commit to this community. 
Where were we you ask....well we opened up our own stores, we added 2 new lines to our brand (and yes it is just the 2 of us working it all) so we have been swamped to say the least, but in an amazing way!!
So we are back we are focused like never before and we will be cultivating this community with knowledge and guidance like never before. We want you to know we are here to inspire the uninspired and we are beyond excited for what this will grow into!!

United By Stoke The Change is Here, it is time to let the old go and the new flourish. 2020 was the year for those of us who are awake to take back our power, so I hope each one of you did this or where able to do this!
 
Meaning for us that 2021 is the year to rise up, or rise above! We are dedicated to talking to the strong women, the single mothers, the boss babes, the girls bosses, the women who are on their new health journey, the men doing the same, the older generation who are still extremely active, fit and healthy, teach us please!
 
So this is the new 2021 direction for the show and podcast, we must and I mean it is an absolute must that in order to help the situations that are going on around this planet and to help all those struggling from the effects of these issues, that us the United By Stoke community be at our best, our strongest physically emotionally and mentally to be there to be the rock for all those who are going to need us. It is bigger than us now!
 
So going forward lets band together and become a powerful community for each other and others!
