Episode 110 - Ignite Your Purpose

We are all the same but different!

John Barrett and myself talk about #fomo and how at our base level we are truly all the same!

John talks about no matter the race, colour, creed, nationality we all bleed the same and want the same basic things.

What do we mean by that?...Well, an experience I had while training last night was the lesson that brought this all about! By being humble, vulnerable and open at the end of this sparring session.

Back story is I trained with this gentlemen about 2 years ago while we went to test of skill level. We both got our first level, but since then have not trained together but have somewhat kept an eye on each other.

We are both going to test another level and for me I wanted to train with this guy again to test my skill set out and see if he was: better than me, does he know more, did he learn different things....And on and on and on in my mind. This maybe my hard wiring as a male but also in general as a human, so we all must have this.

Like I said at the end when I opened up and said "man I wanted to train with you because I was UNSURE about my skills compared to YOU" (are you listening to these words) COMPARED TO YOU ... he then opened up as well and said "he wanted to train with me for the exact same reasons!!"
