Episode 97- Ignite Your Purpose

The #art of #listening

Boom, easier said than done...#realtalk

John Barrett and myself try to keep it as legit as possible when it comes to art of #conversation. Do we really (#honestly) listen when someone else is speaking...or are we just waiting to reply with our point of view? #Ego verses ego or #belief verses belief or #ideaverses idea?

All to often we just want to #regurgitate the knowledge we have #learned or whatever belief or system we operate under to basically prove we are either better, more correct or right and which means someone else is either wrong, or less correct....hummm interesting

Yet in old ways of #philosophy, #ancient ways of humans the ways to gain a clearer perspective or maybe even further your #knowledgewas to #debate... and to debate is to listen take in the info and then #rebuttal

I feel for myself personally this is something I have been working on for a while (with some success), trying at times to not #interject at all with my #perspective on a conversation and just take in the moment and interaction with the other #human/ #soul speaking to me... a true learning curve for John and myself and an actual art form!
